Let's Talk 'Christian Influencers'

What do you do when what started as a strong desire to spread God’s Word and revelation begins to bring you great fame and prosperity?
Two things happen: You draw closer to God, or you draw closer to His work.
In order not to be a victim of the latter, you must set your priorities right before you even think of coming into the spotlight.

Don't let fame and prosperity happen to you by mistake, know where you are going and stick to the plan.
It's just like someone who gets rich by mistake. You start something as a hobby for the fun of it, and suddenly, it becomes viral, and the dollars start rolling in, The chances are that for the first few years, you will misuse that wealth and slowly drift from the initial plan and intention.
Again, don't let fame and prosperity happen to you by chance. Know where you are going and stick to the plan. There is nothing like circumstance or chance in purpose. God always has a plan and you can only stick to the plan when you know the plan. That brings us to rule number one.

1. Know the plan

Luke 14:28 KJV
[28] For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

Joseph excelled in purpose because he knew where he was going. He never lost focus because he saw the end. God will always show you your end, it is your duty to align with it.
God showed Joseph the prophecy of royalty in two consecutive dreams and that kept him going even when several events arose to deter him.
You may not always have the full picture but God will give you a map. The more you follow the map, the clearer your future becomes and the closer the end becomes.
If you cannot find out about next year, ask God about tomorrow and prepare accordingly.

2. Align with God’s timing

Don't just start a YouTube channel because you want to preach or because you feel the revelations or Rhema you get from your fellowship with God need to be heard by others. It is more than the desire to share, it is a calling. If you have not been called to the spotlight, please remain in your chamber or the podium will drain all you have built in the secret place. Don't pick up the mic if it has not been handed to you by God.

Proverbs 25:7 KJV
[7] For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; Than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince Whom thine eyes have seen.

No matter how much the hunger burns inside you, wait for the master's call before you take a step.

3. Focus on Priority

Your ministry can destroy your relationship with God if you lose focus. The moment you shift your gaze from God to the people, you start drowning.

Luke 12:34 KJV
[34] For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Your relationship with God drives relevance in your work for Him. Never forget your first love. Most of us started from a deep connection to the secret place of koinonia but ask yourself today - Did I get closer to God for myself or for the people?
It can be confusing when you have lost focus, and in case you have, let me throw more light:

• Majority of the times when you received revelation from God, what was your fore mindset?
"This Rhema will liberate someone in my audience" OR
"How can I apply this revelation to my life"

How do you fill others well when you haven't filled your bucket well? You will simply run dry.
You cannot give what you do not have. First, nourish your soul before you think of others. Stop feeding God's people half-baked bread. They need a balanced diet that can only be gotten when you meditate on the word and let it marinate in your soul before you serve it hot.
A mother eats because she is hungry, not because she has a baby to feed. However, feeding well also ensures her baby gets the right nutrients for proper development.
Strive to know God first for yourself before your audience.

• When you make or prepare content, what comes to mind?
"This revelation is too deep, it will develop more likes than my last post"  OR
"Lord let this message be a source of blessing and liberation to your people"

Your priority determines your message and the level of importance you place on each piece. Is God still at the center of your content or is He just a means to an end?
Some of us put little effort into posting when we don't feel the Rhema, but God makes that same post do better than the rest to prove a point.
It is not by power, neither is it for attention but for the glory of God.

• When a post does not "perform well", how do you handle it?
"What did I do wrong to this algorithm? After all my effort"  OR
"Lord as long as this message got to the specific souls it was intended for, I am satisfied"

Our perception of success often blinds our eyes to the faithfulness of God. You would be foolish to measure success the way the worldly influencers measure success.
Again, it depends on your motive for starting that channel in the first place.
One soul liberated for God is worth more than a thousand likes and guess what? You don't need the algorithm to get it to whom it was prepared for. You just need to align with God’s instruction and let the angels complete the job for you.

So ask yourself, "Have I lost focus, or am I focused on Priority?"

4. Walk by Faith, not by Sight.

You cannot walk in the flesh and expect spiritually edifying or God-glorifying results.

Zechariah 4:6 KJV
[6] Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

So you think it is by the nice graphic design or catchy music? No, dear, it is divine orchestration.
I get baffled when I see a 'Christian content' with a worldly soundtrack in the background. What has light got to do with darkness? Your instinct to use worldly trendy soundtracks to gain traction only shows you walk by sight and not faith. It is also a clear indication of your Spiritual state with God.
When you depend on your ability, you lose divine approval and lead yourself instead of allowing God to lead and prosper you in His work.
Imagine you trying to help God prosper His work. We are talking about the God of all possibilities, the God of good and evil, the one to whom all powers, frequencies and algorithms belong. What audacity!

Romans 8:8 KJV
[8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

If you truly want to serve God and not work for your belly, then you need to be intentional about your walk with God and work for God.
If you will receive a reward for your Service, you must serve in Spirit and in truth.

Your Talent Is Not Your Purpose

"Talent equals purpose" is a major misconception that most people often fall for when seeking to discover their purpose on earth. Your purpose in life is tied to the will of God for you on earth, and so one way the devil will try to shift your attention from your true purpose is through distraction. Distracting you from what truly matters. He tries to shift your focus from your end goal to the means to the end. I will explain. There are people who are multi-talented, and these talents have been assigned to us by God for a purpose. These talents are a means to an end; they are not the end goal. They are tools that will help you in fulfilling the ultimate assignment. If you focus on one of these talents as the end goal, you will never discover your true goal. That you are artistic and have an eye and hands for perfection does not ultimately mean that you were destined to be an artist or somewhere in the arts world. These skills are also very useful in the medical field for recr...

You Are Not Ready Until God Says You Are Ready

Many of us have rushed into purpose or delayed our manifestation in purpose because of what we call readiness. Some think they are not ready for what God has purposed for them while others think they are ready when God has not yet given them approval. This is often influenced by a biased perception of oneself based on worldly standards or criteria. God does not judge our preparedness by the physical but by His approval.  Jeremiah was a child when He was called but Joseph was tried till he was thirty before ascending the throne. ““O Sovereign Lord ,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!” The Lord replied, “Don’t say, ‘I’m too young,’ for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you.” —  Jeremiah 1:6–7.NLT Joseph went through rigorous training and trials before he was approved to ascend the throne. It is all about divine timing. “Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.” —  Psalms 105:19.NLT Samuel was also called as...
